Provider Capabilities and Education Effectiveness – FAQs
Effective March 4, 2011, Bristol-Myers Squibb requires all Medical Education providers to register and create a provider profile on our Provider Capabilities and Education Effectiveness portal prior to submitting an independent medical education or grand rounds grant request. Do I need a profile for each grant?
No, you need one profile for your organization. If you work with other educational companies or with other organizations, they will need to register their organization themselves at

How long does it take to receive my password?
You should receive your password immediately once you hit the submit button on the Registration page. The password will allow you to log in and complete the rest of your profile. Please check your junk mail or spam folder if you do not receive an email in your regular email. If you do not receive an email response, please call our technical support desk at 855-951-1827.
Someone in my organization already has a profile, what do I do now?
The person who registered your organization is the main user. That person can then go into his/her profile and add other users so they can submit applications too.
Can I delete a profile and start over?
No you do not have the ability to delete a profile. You can edit your profile by going to the top menu of the page under the Bristol-Myers Squibb logo. Click on “Provider Profile” and a drop down list will appear. Choose “Edit Profile” and you will be able to make changes.
How do I edit my profile?
Once you have logged into the system, you will see a menu at the top of the page under the Bristol-Myers Squibb logo. Click on “Provider Profile” and a drop down list will appear. Chose “Edit Profile” and you will be able to make changes.
To add new users, go to the top menu on the registration application (located right under the Bristol-Myers Squibb Logo). Click on “Provider Profile” and you will get a dropdown list. If you click on “Manage Users” the main user will be able to add new users or update the list of users as needed.
Do I have to complete the profile at one time?
No your profile will automatically save when you leave the program. The next time you log in, you can go back in to the application and continue working on completion.
How do I change the master parent (main contact for the profile)?
You cannot change this field yourself. If, for any reason, this must be changed, please call our technical support desk at 855-951-1827.
What is a capabilities presentation?
A capabilities presentation is a brief overview of your organization and refers to what type of education you are able to provide. Examples would include internet or enduring programs, satellite symposia, education through iPhone apps, etc. Please include the therapeutic areas in which you work. If you are not a CME organization, you do not need to provide this information as it is not a required field.
